«Keith Wilson announces the beginning of a more organized Alberta independence campaign.
Two new efforts are now being developed: the Alberta Transition Council and Alberta’s Next Step. The Alberta Transition Council is intended to bring together subject matter experts to answer the practical questions around independence, including transition steps, continuity of services, costs, institutions, and negotiations after a successful referendum. Alberta’s Next Step is being formed as a third-party advertiser to help communicate the case for independence to Albertans ahead of October 19.
The video also responds to Pierre Poilievre’s comments in Calgary. Poilievre recognized that Alberta has been treated unfairly, but recognition is not a plan.
Alberta has already tried sending leaders to Ottawa. Alberta has already voted for fairness. Alberta has already asked for constitutional change. The answer has been silence.
The path forward is Alberta independence: a lawful referendum, serious negotiations, and a future where Alberta controls its own economy, institutions, and destiny.»
